Privacy Policy

Haibi is built local-first: the large majority of what you track — habits, journals, workouts, meals, sleep, moods, missions — is stored on your device and stays there. This policy explains the specific cases where data does leave your device, why, and what we do with it.

1. Data stored on your device

Habit history, journal entries, workout logs, meal plans and food logs, sleep records, mood check-ins, pantry inventory, focus sessions, and mission/goal data are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data. Deleting the app deletes it.

2. Account data

When you create an account we collect your email address and authentication identifiers (via Firebase Authentication). We store your subscription status and, if you enable notifications, a push notification token, so we can deliver reminders and alerts you asked for.

3. Financial data (bank connections)

If you choose to connect a bank account, the connection is made through Plaid Inc. We never see or store your bank credentials. Through Plaid we receive transaction history and account balances, which are stored on our servers to power spending insights, patterns, and audits inside the app. We do not sell financial data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than showing you your own behavior. You can disconnect your bank at any time, and deleting your account deletes stored financial data. Plaid's own privacy policy is at plaid.com/legal.

4. Health data

With your permission, Haibi reads data from Apple HealthKit (such as steps, sleep, heart rate, and workouts). Health data is processed on your device to generate readiness and recovery insights. We do not sell health data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties. HealthKit data is never used for any purpose other than providing app features you can see.

5. AI features

When you use AI features — chatting with Bee, voice conversations, meal photo scanning, recipe generation, plan building — the content you submit (text, voice audio, or photos) is sent through our servers to AI service providers to generate the response. Voice conversations are processed by ElevenLabs. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it. Requests are processed to provide the feature and are not used to build advertising profiles.

6. Referral program

If you participate in the referral program, we collect a device identifier and a hashed (one-way encrypted) version of your IP address at signup and when referral codes are used. This is used solely to prevent fraud (self-referrals and fake accounts) and to calculate legitimate earnings.

7. Advertising

The free tier shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier subject to your iOS tracking permission choices. Paid subscribers do not see ads. We do not provide your health, financial, or personal tracking data to ad networks — ever.

8. What we never do

We never sell your personal data.
We never share health or financial data with advertisers or data brokers.
We never use your journals, conversations, or photos to train AI models.

9. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account from Settings inside the app. Account deletion removes your server-side data, including stored financial transactions, subscription records, push tokens, and referral data. Locally stored data is removed by deleting the app.

10. Children

Haibi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
